l  This web site provides information on Kirsten Lockenwitz, one of the leading Danish artists of her generation.
l  She mainly works in stone, bronze, plexiglas (polymethylmethacrylat) and neon. Her field of works comprises sculptures, reliefs and art architecture integration.
l  Since 1967 she has done innovating work in neon and plexiglas, later integrating steel and copper in her works, and since 1988 bronze and granite.

It is the aim of my work to touch upon the universal. To bow to the eternal, the absolute, to touch the spiritual heart of man. I am deeply moved and inspired by the awe of nature where it is unbounded, desolate, vast and sacred, and by the impact and monumentality of its geological architecture, so similar to the devotional architecture of ancient cultures. I am moved by man's devotion to the divine through all time, whether it be by the erection of a black stone or of a cathedral.
